Are you a recruiter looking for an exciting opportunity to lead early and diverse talent attraction programs? At Yelp, we’ve hired some of the best minds in the industry, and their success is reflected in the growth of our products and services. Now, we’re looking for a Talent Marketing & Sourcing Specialist who lives for the chance to have a big part in positioning Yelp as an employer of choice among early career and diverse talent.
In this role, you will join Yelp’s Recruitment Marketing team, and will have an exciting mix of marketing and talent sourcing responsibilities. The Talent Marketing & Sourcing Specialist will use a variety of recruitment marketing strategies designed to attract and source talent from universities, strategic sales groups, and diverse professional talent associations.
Your day-to-day will consist of identifying opportunities to create strategic partnerships and relationships to accelerate Yelp’s early and diverse talent goals. You will identify colleges and universities to host career fairs and virtual panels to build brand awareness among early talent student groups. You will also partner with our Strategic Sales Recruiters to find targeted job boards and professional associations to build connections to highly skilled, strategic sales talent. Your work will be crucial in positioning Yelp as an employer of choice by becoming more visible and engaged in our communities.
We’d love to have you apply, even if you don’t feel you meet every single requirement in this posting. At Yelp, we’re looking for great people, not just those who simply check off all the boxes.
This is a full-time remote role based in the United States
What we’re looking for in you:
You’re a planner and an activator that enjoys taking a project from concept to execution. You know how to spot a great opportunity when you see one, finding partnerships and events that are potential sources of qualified and diverse talent. You’re a curious mind, always thinking of new and out-of-the-box ideas to accelerate our hiring goals. Being in the spotlight doesn’t scare you, and you can source candidates from a large group of professionals just as well as you can talk to a small group of students about career opportunities at Yelp. You love planning a great party! You know what it takes to make people show up to an event (whether virtual or in-person), be engaged, and excited about career opportunities at Yelp. You love data and analytics. You continuously track the results of your work and recommend improvements to optimize your candidate funnel.
What you’ll do:
Programs & Partnerships- You will find and create opportunities for Talent Attraction and Hiring Managers to form engaging and nurturing relationships with early careers and diverse talent, while also creating opportunities to build a more diverse and inclusive talent pipeline. Team up with Yelp’s Culture team and Sales, Strategic, and G&A Talent Acquisition managers to develop an annual partnerships, events, and programs calendar. Through partnerships with educational, professional, and diverse associations and groups, you will design, coordinate, and run programs and events for candidates both virtually and in-person.
Candidate Sourcer & Champion - You will develop sourcing plans to find qualified students, recent graduates, and diverse professionals and ensure they can quickly enter Yelp’s candidate pipeline. You’ll be the first point of contact for early career talent, members of professional associations, and strategic partners, sharing knowledge and information about career opportunities at Yelp. Serve as a Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging Champion, continuously learning about the best practices to attract and retain early and diverse talent at Yelp. You will maintain an ongoing relationship with folks hired as a result of your efforts and check in with them after their onboarding.
Marketing and Communications - You will develop a communications plan to determine pre and post event communications for candidates. You will develop candidate communication templates for sourced candidates to keep them informed, and excited about the opportunity at Yelp. You will maintain and update all decks, scripts, and materials related to early career and diverse recruiting efforts. You will partner with the Recruitment Marketing Specialist to create and develop social media content for partners and universities to promote opportunities at Yelp. You will create targeted and scheduled campaigns to promote upcoming Yelp career events and source upcoming and recent college graduates.
Internal Partnership Engagement - You will work with Talent Acquisition leaders and partners to understand gaps in the business and ideate pipeline programs to fill those needs. You will find creative ways to partner with Yelp Employee Resource Group (YERG) leads and members as needed to plan and execute diversity recruitment events and programs internally and externally.
What it takes to succeed:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, HS diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of experience in a recruiting, sourcing, or diversity role.
- Prior experience planning and executing recruiting events such as job fairs, open houses, campus events, employee panels, etc.
- You know how to build and manage successful candidate outreach campaigns and programs.
- You have an understanding of job boards and recruitment marketing advertising strategies and marketing plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to take initiative and build strong productive relationships.
- Ideal candidates will be highly motivated, self-directed and have high energy.
- You have experience with Canva, Easil, or similar platforms.
What you'll get:
- Effective your first day: Full medical, vision, and dental (100% paid employee only coverage)
- 15 days PTO (accrual begins on date of hire and increases with 2+ years of tenure thereafter), 12 paid holidays, plus one floating holiday
