The Role:

With our growing customer base and our expansion into new markets and use cases, we have more to build than ever at Yubico as we execute on our vision to make secure login easy and available for everyone, enabling a safer internet for billions of people.
As we scale, we're looking for an experienced Sr QA Manager to lead the quality organization within Yubico. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end testing, automation and process improvement, to ensure we’re able to continuously deliver the highest quality of products as well as services to the market on time. As the team grows, you will take on direct reports and eventually manage a diverse group of automation engineers and manual testers.

About Our Quality Assurance Team:

The QA team has end-to-end ownership of building a quality product. Through automation and functional testing, the team validates a variety of products to offer our customers a seamless experience as we scale.

As a Sr QA Manager, you will hire, manage remote QA engineers and participate in product specification reviews and solutions architectural design sessions by providing input from a quality and team allocation standpoint. You will also identify testing and automation strategies for various features and functionalities.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

    • Build and manage highly skilled onshore & offshore technical QA professionals
    • Define and execute a QA strategy based on our development roadmap, operational challenges, and vision for the QA team
    • Engage with offshore partners to recruit QA Engineers and manage engagement relationships to ensure retention of top-talent
    • Work in an ever-challenging environment to apply your hands-on skills in hardware, firmware, and software testing including test automation and performance testing
    • Use a wide range of cutting-edge technologies to innovate testing methodologies and execution strategies for scale
    • Be a part of an organization that values ‘Continuous Improvement’ and ‘Shift Left Testing’ approaches
    • Work closely with product and technology teams to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas of improvement for continuous quality delivery
    • Ensure adequate test coverages over all critical paths of new and existing product releases
    • Promote skill building, knowledge sharing, and innovation opportunities within the teams

Basic Qualifications:

    • 8+ years of experience testing and delivering enterprise-quality products in a fast-paced environment
    • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role
    • Building a quality organization from the ground up with extensive people management experience
    • Experience hiring at all levels as well as managing QA tech leads
    • Ability to develop test strategies for hardware, firmware and software tools
    • Experience developing test automation at scale
    • Experience working with embedded systems and delivering quality with short release cycles
    • Ability to scope, schedule, and resource multiple complex projects in collaboration with other cross-functional teams such as Development, Product Management, and Solutions Engineering across different locations and time zones
    • Passion for continuously researching and staying ahead on adoption of testing tools and processes
    • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
    • Can successfully influence teams and team members not reporting to you

$210,000 - $230,000 a year
Yubico offers a holistic Total Rewards package designed to support our employees in all aspects of their life inside and outside of work. This role has the annual  salary range of $210,000 to $230,000 for a candidate located in the San Francisco Bay Area. For roles that are filled in other locations, the compensation range will be based on the data for local cost of labor provided by the Economic Research Institute. Final compensation is also based on a number of factors including, but not limited to,  job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
