We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to work on a project in the green energy industry.

You will be part of a distributed team developing new technologies to solve real business problems, pushing the boundaries of technology and working at an extraordinary scale.
You’ll be working on a SaaS platform that aims to revolutionise the operating platforms for energy retailers globally.
What you will do:
- Develop tools to abstract complex aspects of the platform from developers, improving both developer experience and operational efficiency.
- Use Terraform, Helm, and Crossplane to manage and automate provisioning of all cloud infrastructure, while championing GitOps best practices.
- Establish robust monitoring and logging foundations in collaboration with the broader Site Reliability Engineering function, ensuring platform reliability and performance through standard application performance management tools.
- Incorporate security best practices and maintain platform compliance with industry standards.
- Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota, troubleshoot platform-related incidents, and implement post-incident improvements to prevent recurrence.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication of upcoming platform changes, coordinate upgrades and maintenance windows, and hold service providers accountable to contractual SLAs.
What you will bring:
-Experience building and shipping production applications.
-Experience using cloud platforms like AWS (preferred), Google Cloud, Azure or others.
-Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar).
-Created, maintained, migrated Kubernetes clusters in production. If you haven’t yet, then you would love to get your hands on Kubernetes.
-Excellent foundational understanding of distributed systems.
-Experience and understanding of continuous integration, continuous deployment, GitOps and related Infrastructure as Code technologies
-An appreciation of Site Reliability Engineering mindset.
-Excellent communication and collaboration skills and a genuine curiosity to learn and solve challenging problems collaboratively.
