We are looking for a Platform Engineer to work on a project in the green energy industry.

You will be part of a distributed team developing new technologies to solve real business problems. We’re shifting from a team-based GitOps model to a shared, service-based registry to automate and speed up how we set up customer environments.
We are looking for someone with good communication skills, ideally with experience making decisions, being proactive, used to building software from scratch, and with good attention to detail.
What you will do:
-You’ll help audit and migrate existing repositories, remove obstacles for application teams, and enhance our shared Helm charts.
-Review current Git repositories and GitOps workflows.
-Identify impediments and gaps in repositories structure, chart quality and deployment processes.
-Design and carry out a plan to move manifests into a central service registry.
-Work closely with application teams to coordinate cutover with minimal disruption.
-Set up and configure a centralized Helm-chart registry.
-Standardise, version and publish team charts for reuse.
-Build/extend IaC pipelines (Terraform, Crossplane) and GitOps flows to deploy charts.
-Write scripts or small tools to streamline namespace provisioning and environment setup.
-Produce concise documents and templates for the new registry model.
-Host short workshops to onboard and support dev teams.
What you will bring:
-Production experience with Kubernetes and Helm.
-Hands-on experience with GitOps (managing repositories, pipelines, and deployments).
-Proficiency with Terraform and/or Crossplane for infrastructure-as-code.
-Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar).
-Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work across multiple teams.
Nice to have:
-Experience standardizing and refactoring Helm charts at scale.
-Previous experience with platform-as-a-service (PaaS) or developer self-service tooling.
