As our Communications Manager at ZayZoon, you will be the driving force behind our external communications strategy, ensuring our brand messaging is consistent, impactful, and aligned with our company's goals and values. You will oversee our public relations efforts, manage our social media presence, and spearhead our social advocacy program. This is an exciting opportunity to shape our external narrative and strengthen our brand reputation in the fintech industry.

Your Responsibilities:

    • Public Relations Management: Act as the primary liaison with our PR agency, overseeing their efforts to secure media coverage, manage press inquiries, and coordinate interviews and press releases.
    • Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and industry influencers, pitching stories and securing media placements to increase brand visibility and credibility.
    • Brand Management: Develop and implement crisis communication plans, serving as the point of contact for media inquiries during times of crisis or negative publicity, and effectively managing our brand's reputation.
    • Social Media Management: Strategize, create, and execute social media campaigns across various platforms, including LinkedIn and Twitter, to engage our audience and drive brand awareness and engagement.
    • Content Creation: Develop compelling and relevant content for social media posts, blog articles, newsletters, and other communication channels, ensuring consistency in messaging and tone.
    • Social Advocacy Program: Develop and manage our social advocacy program, empowering employees and stakeholders to become brand ambassadors and amplify our messaging across their networks.
    • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze the performance of PR and social media efforts, track key metrics, and provide insights and recommendations for optimization and improvement.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including executives, marketing, sales, and product, to align communication strategies with business objectives and support integrated marketing campaigns.

To be successful in this role, you need to be someone who:

    • Has a proven track record in communications, public relations, or related fields, with experience managing PR agencies and executing successful media campaigns.
    • Demonstrates exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and effectively engage diverse audiences.
    • Possesses strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Shows a proactive and strategic approach to communications, with a keen understanding of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
    • Exhibits strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and insights to drive decision-making and optimization strategies.

What you bring to the table

    • 5+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or related fields, preferably in the fintech or tech industry.
    • Experience managing PR agencies and external vendors, with a track record of building and maintaining successful partnerships.
    • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms, with a deep understanding of social media trends, algorithms, and best practices.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a flexible and adaptable mindset.
    • A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively across teams and departments.

    • Bonus points if you have:
    • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements in the financial services industry.
    • Experience with employee advocacy programs and internal communications initiatives.

Candidates must be located in North America to be considered.
We are organized as a remote team, as such we are looking for candidates who can work effectively remotely. You must have access to a secure high speed internet connection and a secure workspace to ensure security of private information. This role is available on a permanently remote basis.
