About the Position: Principal Product Manager (San Jose, CA)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal Product Manager to join our team. The Principal Product Manager will play a critical role in defining and driving the strategic direction of our product offerings, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our customers and align with our company's goals and vision. This individual will lead cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that address market requirements, drive business growth, and maintain our competitive edge in the rapidly evolving edge computing landscape.

Key Responsibilities

    • Product Strategy and Vision: Develop and communicate a compelling product strategy and vision that aligns with market trends, customer needs, and company goals.
    • Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market analysis and research to identify emerging trends, customer requirements, and competitive landscape in the edge computing market.
    • Product Roadmap: Define and prioritize the product roadmap in collaboration with cross-functional teams, balancing short-term deliverables with long-term strategic objectives.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and other stakeholders to drive product development initiatives from concept to launch.
    • Product Development: Work closely with engineering teams to translate product requirements into technical specifications, ensuring alignment with architectural principles and business objectives.
    • Go-to-Market Strategy: Partner with marketing and sales teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, messaging, pricing, and sales enablement activities.
    • Customer Engagement: Engage with customers, partners, and key stakeholders to gather feedback, validate product concepts, and ensure alignment with customer needs and expectations.
    • Partnerships: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with technology vendors, service providers, and ecosystem partners to enhance our product offerings and expand market reach.
    • Performance Monitoring: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success, monitor market trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

    • 8+ years of product management experience in enterprise software, cloud computing, or related technology domains.
    • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing product management teams, preferably in the edge computing or IoT space.
    • Deep understanding of software development methodologies, cloud architectures, and networking technologies.
    • Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and business acumen with the ability to translate market insights into actionable product strategies.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Pay & Benefits
Zededa’s main compensation philosophy is to provide you with the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop with the company. The base pay range, dependent on your skills, qualifications, experience and location for this role is between $220,000 and $240,000, and will also include bonus, equity and benefits components to round out your total compensation.
