Skill Set
- Bachelor Degree with Mechanical Engineering Technology
- 5 years work experience in mechanical static equipment design for Petro-chemical and refinery projects.
- 3D software skills with parametric design experience, Inventor & I-logic is preferred".
- Strong attention to detail and ability to self-check own work and produce error free drawings.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet project milestones.
- Ability to seek feedback and ask for help when unsure to minimize rework. Communicates progress accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Could take some travels to customer office, job site or vendor’s workshop if needed.
Responsibilities
- Sales support for technical clarification, equipment weight estimating and other delivery to meet bidding requirement.
- Pressure vessel and non-pressure vessel strength calculation to generate specification and strength calculation book.
- Create accurate mechanical drawings with AutoCAD software.
- Using process engineer and discipline engineer provided guidelines to perform mechanical design of various types of Equipment.
- Drawings review on sub-contractor’s deliverable, questions clarification to customer and sub-contractor.
- Understanding of piping and sheet metal characteristic, working for equipment optimization design and localization design.
- Drawing check to improve the accuracy of design quality.
- Provide technical assistance to resolve issues during equipment fabrication, installation and commissioning.
- Coordinate with US engineers for local and global projects execution.
- Other tasks assigned by supervisor.
