Zeeco India is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Design Engineer to join our engineering team at the Mumbai office. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse and technically challenging international and domestic projects in the field of static equipment design. The ideal candidate will have strong design and analytical skills, a deep understanding of global engineering standards, and the ability to manage cross-functional collaboration with international teams.
Note: The incumbent will be engaged approximately 80% on international projects and 20% on domestic projects. The role involves frequent interaction and collaboration with the Zeeco Headquarters team in the United States, requiring excellent communication and coordination capabilities. The incumbent will be part of the **Vapor Recovery Unit (VRU) Group**, contributing to the design and execution of advanced emission control systems that align with
global environmental standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.E / B. Tech) in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience in the design and engineering of static equipment and pressure vessels used in the oil & gas, petrochemical, and energy sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and detailed engineering of static equipment such as Towers, Columns, Heat Exchangers, Separator Vessels, and Storage Tanks.
- Prepare detailed engineering deliverables including General Arrangement Drawings (GADs), fabrication drawings, equipment data sheets, RFQs, and technical bid evaluations.
- Develop and review equipment layouts, plot plans, piping arrangements, isometric drawings, and material take-offs.
- Perform stress analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and structural integrity assessments to ensure design compliance with international standards.
- Ensure proper material selection and code compliance for a wide variety of international and domestic project requirements.
- Interpret and apply relevant industry codes and standards including ASME Sec VIII Div-1, TEMA, ASME B31.3, API, and ASTM.
- Design supporting structural components such as skids, pipe racks, and pipe supports.
- Model equipment and assemblies using advanced design and simulation tools.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones to ensure timely and accurate project execution.
- Has experience in Finite Element Analysis.

- PV-Elite, Compress (Pressure vessel design and analysis)
- STAAD Pro (Structural analysis)
- CAESAR II (Piping stress analysis)
- Nozzle Pro, Navisworks, SmartPlant Review (3D review and modeling)
- AutoCAD (2D & 3D design and drafting)
Preferred Skills:
- Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to solve complex engineering problems.
- In-depth knowledge of international engineering codes and standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective global collaboration.
