The project manager is the first person responsible to our customers as well as management. In this role, all communications regarding a given project are planned, monitored, and controlled by the project manager. The project manager is responsible to protect the project margin, ensure all equipment meets the project goals, and maintain open dialog with the customer. The project manager shall strive to:

    • Improve customer relationship.
    • Increase project gross margin maintaining quality, safety, and contract requirements.
    • Deliver the complete scope with targeted timelines.
    • Get the quantities tracked and maintained within budgeted figures.
    • Generate increased project revenue and GM compared with targeted numbers.
    • Optimize net working capital of the project and maintain positive cashflow throughout project life cycle.
    • Mitigate technical as well as commercial risks.
    • Maintain harmony and positive energy among team members.

As part of the Zeeco Projects group, this individual will interface with Zeeco Head Quarters, other Global Locations, Engineering / R&D / Design / QAQC / drafting as needed. The project manager has a responsibility to ensure that he/she maintains a sound technical knowledge of all Zeeco products and can discuss technical issues with the customer. This would also entail:

    • Manage multiple projects from sales turnover to completion (related to Flares Products).
    • Handle day to day communication with clients (external/internal), Zeeco Head Quarters, Global Offices, and sub vendors.
    • Manage quality of deliverables, schedules, man-hour budgets, weekly/monthly status reporting, and effectively lead the team.
    • Creating technical mechanical specifications, review/approve client specifications, prepare procurement inquiry packages, technically evaluate bids, and issue order packages for equipment, coordinate review of vendor drawings/data.
    • Expedite and communicate with vendor for delivery and supply to site.
    • Participate in HAZOP & SIL.
    • Maintain ISO audit documentation.
    • Full responsibility of management and project engineering of company projects/contracts.
    • Sole point person for all communications regarding a project from receipt of order through shipment and equipment turnover.
    • Project manager must protect the project margin throughout the course of the project by managing chargeable hours, production costs, scope creep, etc.
    • Review specifications and confirm scope of supply based on the same and sales quotation.
    • Analyzes customer specifications to design and specify appropriate equipment for the application per sales quotation.
    • Monitor and control all internal as well as external deliverables.
    • Have full control on scope, time & cost of the project.
    • Maintain delivery schedule in line with contractual requirements and tracks the same throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Informs Quality Control Department of customer / job specifications.
    • Notifies sales and estimating departments when changes occur to the scope of supply and/or design of the equipment that affect the price. Coordinates written advice and price resolution with Customer concerning price revisions.
    • Prepare WBS/CBS for the project based on client specifications, sales quotation & budget.
    • Track timely invoicing and collections as targeted.
    • Proficiency using Microsoft Office, Project / Excel / PowerPoint / Publisher / Adobe and all Web based systems for contract management and scheduling.

Other ad hoc responsibilities may include the following duties:

    • Quotation/sales support.
    • International and Domestic travel to project meetings and/or jobsites.
    • Performs other duties as may be assigned that are appropriate based on skills and experience.
    • Works with management to determine updated skills and tools needed to continue improving performance and knowledge.

You would be a great fit if you had:

    • B.E./B.Tech degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Chemical) and between Ten (10) to Fifteen (15) years related experience in a EPC/OEM environment
    • Strong knowledge of combustion principles, flare systems, and associated equipment (e.g., flare tips, flame arrestors, knock-out drums).
    • Familiarity with design codes and standards such as API, ASME, NFPA, or other industry standards for flare systems.
