About the Position

    • As a Logistics Coordinator at Zeeco Italy, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless execution of freight operations and compliance requirements. You will manage logistics processes, liaise with third-party providers, and support cross-departmental operations, ensuring our internal and external customers receive the highest levels of service.

Key Responsibilities

    • Freight Solutions: Source cost-effective freight solutions to meet the daily operational requirements of all Zeeco departments.
    • Data Management: Utilise reporting and booking tools to manage logistics data and support day-to-day operations.
    • Third-Party Coordination: Liaise and negotiate with third-party logistics providers to secure competitive rates and service levels.
    • Shipment Coordination: Oversee freight shipments from collection to delivery, ensuring they meet internal and external customer requirements.
    • Documentation Compliance: Collaborate with internal departments to ensure shipping documentation is accurate and compliant with customs regulations.
    • Certifications: Liaise with local Chambers of Commerce to apply for and secure necessary shipping certifications.
    • Invoice Processing: Support freight pay processes by raising purchase orders using Sage software, ensuring invoices are processed in a timely manner.
    • Issue Resolution: Communicate and resolve any shipping or transportation issues with relevant departments.
    • Cost Reduction: Identify and support logistics cost-saving initiatives and cross-functional improvements.
    • Reporting: Assist in preparing month-end reporting, including EU Intrastat submissions.
    • Service Provider Reviews: Participate in meetings with freight and transportation service providers to review performance.
    • Internal Collaboration: Work with Project Managers to understand logistics requirements and provide tailored solutions.
    • Supplier Engagement: Communicate with suppliers to gather essential shipment-related information.

About You

    • Experience: At least 2+ years in a logistics-based role.
    • Customer-Focused: Motivated to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.
    • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail for understanding logistics requirements and completing documentation accurately.
    • Communication Skills: Fluent in both Italian and English (written and verbal), with the ability to communicate effectively across departments and with external partners.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is mandatory.
    • Critical Thinking: Ability to identify potential issues in logistics processes and develop proactive solutions.
    • Self-Starter: Resourceful, motivated, and capable of working independently.
    • Team Player: Collaborative and able to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
