ABOUT THE JOB
As a Senior Account Executive on our Crisis and Issues team, you will collaborate with the integrated team across your client roster, provide sound counsel and recommendations to your clients, and drive results inclusive of traditional and emerging public relations tactics. You’ll develop a comprehensive understandingclients – their business, products, markets, competitors, and industry influencers, and you will have a hand in craft strategies based on your knowledge and your clients’ needs. You are a strong writer, able to synthesize our recommendations into client-ready documents that articulate a clear rationale and move clients toward ‘yes’.
You have an interest in helping clients protect their reputations in the most challenging moments – and a passion for complex, high-profile crisis situations and risk-related issues that tend to play out in a 24/7 news and social media environment.
Responsibilities:
- Draft issues/crisis documents, e.g., scenario plans, issue analyses, intelligence reports.
- Develop key messages in keeping with clients’ objectives and craft stakeholder communications based on messaging.
- Work with senior team members to navigate high-risk issues and provide recommendations, as well as support execution of media and stakeholder engagement.
- Research, interview, write, and edit media materials, fact sheets, messaging and stakeholder communication, and other materials as needed.
- Conduct due diligence tasks, identify and analyze publicly available data, and synthesize findings from the agency’s suite of tools and integrate analysis into strategic client deliverables.
- Support in client-facing strategic counsel with senior crisis leaders, including managing interaction, presenting select elements of findings, presentation development, etc.
- Collaborate across teams at all levels, and with specialty experts on cross-practice client deliverables.
- Be well-versed in the current political and social landscape to anticipate larger cultural issues that may be relevant to your clients.
- Practice effective project management while working with other team members and understand the “big picture” of the client program.
- Assist with new business.
About You:
- 3-5 years of experience in Corporate Comms or Crisis and Issues; agency experience strongly recommended.
- Excellent writing skills and experience crafting communication materials, recommendations, analysis, and reports.
- Proven success in managing complex media relations and driving results for clients.
- Strong presentation skills, with experience working directly with clients and actively participating in client meetings.
- Highly organized, collaborative spirit, and results-driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work against tight deadlines.
- Demonstrates the ability to think strategically, creatively and holistically about client programs, fearless in presenting a point of view in brainstorms.
- Proficient in MSOffice, experience with media databases, analytics tools, and AI platforms highly recommended.
$67,000 - $78,000 a year
Pay range: $67,000 to $78,000 USD
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
