The Role
The User Engagement Specialist (UES) will be a member of our Project Delivery Team for an upcoming public health data analytics project in Ethiopia. The UES will take full responsibility of our clients' experience. S/he will collaborate closely with all users, high-level decision makers to explore potential impactful analyses, develop and deliver training, scope information products, collaborate with project managers and our engineering/product teams, and ensure that the platform is embedded in key user workflows. As a UES, you will lead the iteration of our user engagement strategies and constantly seek new and innovative ways to keep users engaged and achieve the desired project impact outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with users on the ground to understand their needs, define technical requirements, and provide product support and training.
- Gather user needs and feedback and communicate them proactively to our product team.
- Identify the levers for impact, new training strategies, hypotheses and iterations as it takes to drive them forward.
- Prepare and deliver capacity building sessions that range from one-on-one in depth tutorials to multi-day trainings for entire teams.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Partnership leads on a vision for future phases of implementation.
- Participate in coordination meetings with core and extended partners to identify synergies.
- Prepare project documentation for all stages of project lifecycle with the support of Project Managers.
- Identify strategic initiatives and opportunities for expansion of our deployments.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in public health or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience training users on data analytics in the health sector.
- Knowledge of vaccine preventable diseases and immunization programs.
- Excellent data analysis skills with experience in analysing vaccine preventable diseases and EPI data.
- Able to synthesize information and present clear and concise conclusions and recommendations for decision making.
- Experience in data analytics, data quality management, data visualization and data use.
- Problem solving aptitude when working with users and developing products across projects and team deliverables.
- Excellent Amharic and English verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience on projects synthesizing hard analytical insight with holistic understanding of a complex problem space.
- Able to thrive in ambiguity – you understand how to take one step at a time to work through complex problems.
- Enjoy working with clients and have a customer-centric attitudeAble to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously.
