The Developer Relations team at Zilliz is seeking an Developer Advocate to inspire and engage the global developer community around open-source vector database Milvus.
What You’ll Do:
- Identify and connect with new Milvus users across GitHub, Discord, and LinkedIn through structured outreach
- Educate developers on vector database concepts, Milvus features, and usage best practices
- Build tooling and automations to scale the growth
- Nurture relationships through regular check-ins, while providing basic technical guidance
- Collaborate with sales and solutions engineering teams
- Represent Milvus at virtual and in-person events to expand community reach
What We’re Looking For:
- A technical background in computer science, data science, or a related field
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
- A self-starter mindset with a strong bias toward learning, experimentation, and iteration
- Prior experience in developer advocacy, technical community engagement, sales engineering, or similar roles
- Comfortable initiating conversations via LinkedIn, GitHub, or email; outbound engagement experience is a strong plus
- Experience with CRM workflows, email sequences, or lightweight sales/marketing automation tools
$110,000 - $170,000 a year
An offered salary is based on location, relevant experience, and domain knowledge.
