As a Systems Integration Engineer, you will work with multi-disciplinary engineers with backgrounds in AI, mechatronics, computer vision, and robotics. You will liaise with our software organization to align and integrate our various hardware platforms. You will also be supporting teams to build, test, and diagnose the root causes of bugs and errors in order to engineer robust prototyping solutions. You will be challenged to build software and integrate initial hardware prototypes for platform proof of concepts and guide the design needs to maintain a stable development platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Works with Application, Software, and other Electronic Engineers to meet customer/system requirements of hardware/software
    • Documentation of electrical hardware requirements and design (schematics, assembly drawings, BOM, PCB layouts, etc.)
    • Evaluate vehicle or equipment designs and recommend design or process changes to improve efficiency, quality, or performance
    • Design and manufacture prototype systems; components and harnessing
    • Develop and perform detailed test plans, schedules and procedures for developmental testing
    • Provide laboratory support for integration testing
    • Interface with prototype and production design engineers to define system requirements and validation plan
    • Individual will serve as principal subject matte focal point between design and prototyping

QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
    • 2-3 years of relevant industry experience
    • Control System related experience  
    • Fluency in C++/Python
    • Experience interfacing with CAN based systems and logs using tools such as UML, EA, DOORS, CANalyzer, CANape
    • Experience transitioning products and processes from prototype to production desired

    • Experience with modern computer vision techniques
    • Extensive experience with programming and algorithm design
    • Experience with multi-disciplinary control system architecture
    • Experience handling large data sets efficiently
    • Mechanical design experience
