The Technical Writer on the Zoox Manufacturing Operations team will author and edit all relevant technical publications. Defines, creates, and updates the technical documentation associated with labor time, work instructions, equipment maintenance, quality product specifications and traceability documents, flow diagrams and logistics procedures. Moreover he/she  will revise the documents and policies issued within Zoox Quality Management System. 


    • Create and update the documentation for multiple vehicle platforms 
    • Create documentation for manufacturing process definition, workflows representation and work instructions
    • Create documentation for training, quality control, logistics and other manufacturing operations related processes 
    • Interface closely with the hands-on technical team to understand the complexities and create clear supporting documents


    • 2-5 years’ experience as a Manufacturing technical writer 
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience with writing and editing 
    • Proficiency with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 
    • Proficiency with Google Suite
    • Ability to capture and retouch digital photographs 
    • Strong written and oral communication skills 
    • Exhibit high attention to detail 
    • Ability to multi-task and manage workload to achieve project deliverable deadlines 
    • Ability to approach the role with a can-do, team player attitude 


    • Experience in the automotive and/or high-tech industries 
    • Experience with CATIA, JIRA, Confluence, Dozuki
