We are seeking an experienced Manager in Test Integration. This manager to lead our testing efforts at the forefront of autonomous vehicle technology. As a key test manager, you will be responsible for helping to operationalize and connect the methodologies and tools so we can validate as a company at the different levels of the system V-model and ensure the highest quality and reliability of our hardware and software systems. This will also include test automation, diagnostics, hardware/software validation, and early test escape detection. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strong operational management to deliver superior test outcomes in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
In this role, you will:
- Help develop and operationalize the overall test strategy for self-driving vehicle systems, including hardware and software components.
- Help create a test machine with transparency, traceability, and documentation in place across the company.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and management of automated test processes, focusing on efficiency and scalability.
- Help create a test asset strategy to ensure the availability, deployment, and performance of testing resources.
- Implement early test escape detection systems to identify and address issues before they reach production.
- Drive diagnostic testing processes for both hardware and software, ensuring all systems function as intended in real-world environments.
- Manage hardware/software validation processes, ensuring thorough testing of integrated systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of testing efforts with product development timelines.
- Mentor and manage a team of test engineers, fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide clear and actionable reporting on testing outcomes, highlighting risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in autonomous vehicle testing and validation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of proven experience in designing and managing test strategies for complex hardware/software systems.
- Extensive experience with test automation frameworks and tools, with a strong focus on scaling testing efforts.
- Deep knowledge of hardware and software diagnostics, validation, and early test escape detection methodologies.
- Strong leadership and operational management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record in managing test assets, including resource planning and deployment.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks in testing processes.
- Strong design or architecture experience is a plus.
- Experience in the automotive industry or autonomous vehicles is a plus.
$191,000 - $287,000 a year
Compensation
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $191,000 to $287,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
