As Zoox’s UX Researcher, you will represent the voice of the customer through every stage in the use journey and aid in the development of all Zoox platforms. You will work closely with Design, Product and ID teams to provide user insights and feedback on Zoox’s mobile apps, HMI / in-vehicle interactions, internal tools, and other experiences. You will drive research design, execution and logistic to ensure all Zoox experiences are easy, efficient and exciting for their users. You will know our products intimately so you can provide proactive insights on issues that users may face and reactive insights after testing.
Responsibilities
- We are keen to look for a researcher who has hands on experience in leading researches end-to-end: From writing a plan, to recruiting and scheduling participants, to conducting studies, deriving and communicating insights for the product teams and executives
- Design and conduct user research projects using a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods
- Collaborate with other researchers, designers, product managers, and engineers to understand their questions about users and to help them understand user feedback
- You will also be collaborating closely with Product Marketing researcher, Human Factors Engineers and Ergonomic specialists
- Align research goals and timelines with key internal decisions and deadlines
- Understand why things succeed or fail with users and communicate those underlying reasons to others working on the project
- Work on fast-paced, agile projects to provide insights with quick turnaround
- Present findings with both summaries of respondent feedback and actionable recommendations for design or product decisions
- Advocate for users’ needs in design and product meetings
- Manage research vendors, participants, schedules and other logistical elements
- This role will be responsible for conducting researchers with both consumers and internal operators.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant user research experience in commercial organization
- Experience working with consumer hardware and enterprise software products or services
- Familiarity with a range of research methods and when to recommend each
