We’re looking for an experienced Senior Marketing Manager to join the Brand and Comms team tasked with helping us build both brand awareness and consideration by creating industry disrupting campaigns across all Zopa channels – owned and earned.
Under the direction of the Brand and Experience Director, you’ll take a lead on all things marketing, working with the Brand content and social team, as well as the PR and product teams to bring to life personal finance campaigns across all channels – above and below the line – using a variety of tactics. You’ll need to use your knowledge to uncover consumer insights and deliver innovative integrated campaigns.

This is a senior hands-on role, so we’re looking for someone who can lead whilst confidently rolling up their sleeves and get to work. You’ll need to demonstrate you’re a creative and quantitative thinker and are familiar with various product marketing techniques, able to track and review the performance of campaigns, in line with budget and growth expectations. You’ll be able to demonstrate your ability to work with confidence on through the line campaigns – equally at ease with TV and Radio as you are with Goggle UAC and TikTok. You’ll need a head for data, able to analyse and optimise campaigns mid-flow, relying on data to do so.

You’ll be able to share your previous experience in implementing successful targeted brand and product campaigns and demonstrate how your experience can help us with our awareness and acquisition goals.

This is a key role in a small but high performing team and as such your ability to influence the wider business marketing activity is great. 

A day in the life - most days you'll be:

    • Studying Zopa’s products and their unique benefits for customers, translating these into key consumer facing messages
    • Developing strategies and tactics to increase brand awareness and consideration
    • Deploying successful marketing campaigns in line with Brand guidelines, owning their implementation and working with a range of teams to ensure market effectiveness
    • Working with our media agency to craft and plan campaigns end-to-end on all types of media – ranging from TV and BVOD, paid social, programmatic, display – whilst keeping abreast of emerging media formats
    • Testing and optimizing activity and driving decision making based on the results
    • Presenting data led insights and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels of the organisation
    • Monitoring and analysing market trends and competitors’ activities to ensure Zopa’s products are positioned well within the wider FS market
    • Developing and maintaining good working relationships with other Zopa teams
    • Seeking out and seizing opportunities as they arise and continually looking to improve business working processes, looking for SMART ways to reduce both overall costs and efficiencies
    • Ensuring compliance (e.g. financial regulation, copyright and data protection)

About you:

    • You’ll have demonstrable experience in a senior marketing position, together with an innovative approach to delivering results
    • You have excellent proven communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams in brief development and translation to concept, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
    • You have proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading cross-channel marketing campaigns that cut through and engage customers
    • You’ve got experience in setting up and optimizing google Adwords, FaceBook and display campaigns as well as excellent SEO and PPC knowledge
    • You are motivated by data and have experience of owning, measuring  and optimizing data-led through the line campaigns to deliver business results
    • You have proven working experience as Senior Marketing Manager, developing brand and marketing strategies, managing multiple projects simultaneously
    • You have an excellent understanding of social media, marketing and web analytics - numerically literate, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets
    • Experience in the finance and/or tech industries an advantage
