Our Story

Hello there. We’re Zopa.

We started our journey back in 2005, building the first ever peer-to-peer lending company. Fast forward to 2020 and we launched Zopa Bank. A bank that listens to what our customers don’t like about finance and does the opposite. We’re redefining what it feels like to work in finance. Our vision for a new era of banking puts people front and centre — we’ve built a business that empowers everyone to aim high, every day, to move finance forward. Find out more about our fantastic offerings at Zopa.com

We’re incredibly proud of our achievements and none of it would be possible without the amazing team here. It’s not just industry awards we’re winning, we’ve also been named in the top three UK’s Most Loved Workplaces.

If you embrace unconventional challenges, are unafraid to think differently and are driven to make an outsized impact, you’ll thrive here at Zopa, so join us, and make it count. Want to see us in action? Follow us on Instagram @zopalife

We are moving into Current Accounts and are looking for a Product Manager to help us to shape and build out the customer experience and features.

We want to transform the Current Accounts space as we have already done with loans, savings, credit cards and car finance, tying together our Zopa ecosystem, with big ambitions targeting over 1m+ active customers in 3 years time. This role will be crucial to helping us get there so there's big opportunity for some serious career defining impact.

The Current Account tribe will be split over multiple squads, however at the centre of the product is the Current Account Experiences team which this Product Manager will lead and play a key role in building out.

This is a highly autonomous and high ownership role, strategising how we design and build the main customer experiences of Current Accounts (think how you apply for an account, your main dashboard, and making transfers).

Of course, you won't be doing this alone! Collaboration is in our Zopa DNA which means you'll be part of a cross-functional squad of talented and passionate engineers, designers and QA working together from concept through to delivery. There’s no room for ivory tower thinking and dishing out requirements - you’ll need to work proactively and collaboratively from the ground up, engaging stakeholders and getting their buy in and most importantly making sure we're building the right things.

This is an opportunity that can give a lot of scope to supercharge your career within a fast-scaling FinTech that is looking to IPO soon. If this challenge excites you, we'd love to hear from you!

A day in the life

    • Work closely with the Senior Product Designer to create the central Current Account customer experience and features for launch
    • Work with the engineers in your team to work out how to build the product, helping them make the right trade-offs to ensure a speedy delivery
    • With the help of the engineers and designers in your team, ensure everything built is beautiful, valuable, viable, usable and feasible
    • Help us make key commercial partnership decisions, e.g. what card issuer to use, and lend your commercial and technical acumen toward making those calls
    • Have an eye on the bigger picture. All roads will lead to your squad, so you’ll need to be involved in the work of Current Account platform and operational teams
    • Build close relationships with key stakeholders such as Operations, Compliance, Brand, Legal and Finance to effectively and collaboratively solve problems
    • Work closely with the Current Account Product Lead on over-arching product strategy for customer acquisition

About you...

    • You have strong experience working in a customer facing product environment. Ideally, you have experience at a Fintech, but this isn’t imperative!
    • You are an experienced Product Manager and are excited by the journey we’re on
    • You can point to the products you’ve built and the success that they’ve had. If you haven’t created a zero to one product, you can point to metrics you’ve worked to really move the needle on forprevious products
    • You'recustomer orientated – you know full well that if customers don’t love your product it won’t be a success long term. You’re comfortable combining quantitative and qualitative evidence to bring customer insights into your decision-making process. And,you’re able to collect this evidence yourself where you need to
    • You're outcomes focused – you have a bias for action to ensure we test and learn as we go, consistently progressing towards the end goal. There’s no time for perfection
    • You have experience working in a cross-functional team. When you think about who your “team-mates” are, your 'go-to' will be engineers and designers
