We’re looking for a Lead product designer to join a brand new team working to create an AI chatbot experience - something that has never existed before at Zopa! 
The AI chatbot experience will look to help people manage their money, meaning it needs to be able to present complex information back in a way that’s digestible and actionable for a customer.  
There’s opportunity to challenge what a great chat UI interface looks like and work with our Design System UI designer to create new patterns and components. 
We're looking for an empathetic, critical thinker who is passionate about bringing real value to customers and is excited to join a mature design team with ambitious goals. 
This role will be reporting into our Head of Product and Service Design and expected to be in our office 2 days per week (ideally Tuesday and Thursday).  

A day in the life:

    • Owning the product design end-to-end, including discovery, ideation, delivery and iteration. 
    • Working closely with the product team to align on objectives, hypotheses, success measures for this work. 
    • Designing a new UI interface that can provide personalised and proactive insights and guidance for customers. 
    • Working to support the evolution of our Design System in line with the requirements of the AI experience.  
    • Communicating and collaborating with stakeholders of all levels of seniority 

About you:

    • Extensive design experience, with a focus on creating exceptional UI from scratch. You have a strong portfolio that showcases your design skills, process, and outcomes. 
    • Drive. You take ownership and accountability for your work and are proactive in delivering value to customers and the business.  
    • Experience in 0-1 products, start ups or entrepreneurship. You are comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty and can adapt to changing requirements and feedback. 
    • Curiosity. You are always eager to learn new things and explore new possibilities. You ask questions, challenge assumptions, and seek feedback. 
    • Experimentation and iteration. You embrace failure as an opportunity to learn and improve. You're happy to work at rapid pace to iterate and improve experiences.  
    • Able to work on ambiguous, tech driven products with senior stakeholders. You can communicate and collaborate effectively with different audiences and levels of seniority. You can present and justify your design decisions and influence outcomes. 
    • Making a future facing experience tangible and deliver it iteratively. You can envision and prototype new concepts and ideas and break them down into manageable and testable chunks. 
    • Passion for AI and its potential to solve people’s problems.
