We're looking for a Regulatory Reporting Manager to join us on a 12 month FTC. Reporting into our Finance Director, you will manage the regulatory reporting function for Zopa Bank, whilst developing and supporting the team.

A day in the life:

    • Development and maintenance of robust regulatory reporting quality assurance prudential risk framework in accordance PRA, FCA rulebook and CRD V.
    • Review all (and prepare some as necessary) regulatory returns (PRA, FCA & BOE) to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulatory rules
    • Develop and guide the team to ensure it is adequately prepared to meet changes to regulatory rules and to comply with new and emerging reporting and disclosure requirements
    • Continually assess the adequacy of internal processes, data and controls which support the production of regulatory returns and implement enhancements to increase efficiency and strengthen the control framework as required, including keeping standard operating procedures up to date.
    • Ensure the existing regulatory reporting software continues to be fit for purpose and recommend any enhancements or changes.
    • Implement any changes in systems through documentation of business rules, user acceptance testing and documentation of procedures
    • Conduct or review monthly horizon scanning with impact assessments to ensure that all relevant regulatory changes are captured, assessed correctly and communicated to the appropriate teams within the Group.
    • Assist reviews performed by second line and internal auditors and implement recommendations arising from those reviews
    • Ensure effective tools are in place for monitoring capital and liquidity, working closely with the Financial Reporting, Treasury & FP&A teams and second line to deliver appropriate MI
    • Interface with Regulators and Internal Audit and facilitate queries and data requests as relevant.
    • Participate in new product initiative and-hoc projects which have a regulatory reporting element
    • Subject Matter Expert for other teams and senior management on regulatory matters
    • Prepare annual Pillar 3 disclosures

About you:

    • You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACA or CIMA) or have an equivalent degree/experience, along with previous experience of people management
    • Have strong regulatory experience covering COREP (capital and liquidity), FINREP, BoE statistical returns & Pillar 3
    • Excellent interpersonal skills are key as is the ability to plan and deliver to tight timescales effectively, with minimum supervision
    • You'll be proficient with Excel and have a keen eye for detail
    • Exposure to regulatory reporting software, SQL and Tableau would be great but not essential
