We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to write the code that underpins every single company initiative, critical to every new product, and have a massive impact on technology choices and product direction. You'll write the core services and APIs used across multiple platforms and two major brands (Zumper and Padmapper), and help craft the next generation of apartment finding technology!
What You'll Be Doing
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Design, Product Management, Data Science, and other teams to build quality solutions
- Contributing to code reviews and technical design documents to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge
- Developing new & maintaining existing UI in React/Redux
- Sustaining and innovating on Django web servers (an extensive JSON API) used by the website as well as native apps
- Building and refining internal tools and reporting (Fastly, Nomad, Grafana, Sumo Logic, to name a few)
- Helping scale and develop our growing AWS infrastructure
What We're Looking For
- A self-motivated do-er of things and solver of problems
- 4+ years experience in a professional engineering environment
- 3+ years of professional experience in the following tech stack:
- -React/Redux
- -Node.js
- -Javascript/Typescript experience
- -Python
- 2 - 3 years experience with SQL especially on Postgres
- Familiar with the Python libraries Django and SQLAlchemy
- Practiced in query optimization and general performance evaluation/tuning
- Skilled in the use and implementation of RESTful APIs
- Familiar and experienced with asynchronous programming
- Proficient behind a UNIX terminal
- Experienced with building and maintaining third-party API integrations

- AWS (EC2, EMR, S3, SQS, SES, etc)
- Nginx
- Other programming languages (Java, Go, Bash)

$140,000 - $155,000 a year
