We’re looking for a proven strategic account leader — someone who has built multi-level customer relationships, turned suppliers into trusted partners, and orchestrated executive-to-executive engagement. If you’ve designed and executed long-term key account strategies that go far beyond sales forecasts, this is your chance to create and lead our brand-new Key Account Management function from the ground up.
This is a pivotal, hands-on role where you’ll both manage our most strategic accounts and define the frameworks, processes, and playbooks that will scale across our global organization.
Your responsibilities
- Build the Key Account Management function – Define best practices, methodologies, and processes for a scalable, high-impact approach.
- Develop multi-year strategic account plans – Use proven methodologies (e.g., LAMP) to map relationships, set executive engagement plans, and create long-term value.
- Orchestrate executive relationships – Connect senior leaders across both organizations to align strategies, foster trust, and drive collaboration.
- Become a trusted partner – Position Zurich Instruments as the customer’s first call for strategic opportunities, not just product discussions.
- Anticipate and respond to market trends – Identify opportunities and risks through continuous customer and market insight.
- Drive co-innovation – Initiate and lead joint projects aligned to both parties’ long-term goals.
- Align internal teams – Bridge accounts with Application Scientists, Product Managers, and Marketing to ensure flawless execution.
Your profile
- Multiple years experience in a similar role with proven success in strategic Key Account Management within a high-tech or complex solutions environment.
- Demonstrated ability to turn transactional relationships into long-term partnerships.
- Experience with structured methodologies (e.g., LAMP) and translating market insights into actionable strategies.
- Solid technical foundation (Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field) to engage deeply with our technologies.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to inspire, train, and develop others in Key Account Management.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Analytical, self-driven, and skilled in identifying opportunities and driving measurable results.
