A Kiwi grassroots start-up turned global, founded in 2003 by New Zealand EY Entrepreneur of the Year and World Entrepreneur Hall of Fame brothers Nick and Mat Mowbray after they left high school. The company started in toys and quickly became one of the largest in the world, competing with comparatively historic household names by disrupting through automation and innovation. Award-winning brands include Bunch O Balloons,  Mini Brands, XSHOT, Rainbocorns and Smashers. After so much success, the brothers took that model and applied it to consumer goods, creating their second division, ZURU Edge, and redefining the meaning of FMCG, becoming the fastest-growing consumer goods company in the world with new-age brands including MONDAY Haircare, Rascal + Friends, Dose &  Co, NOOD and Bonkers. ZURU Tech, the newest division, is the company's moon shoot project where they endeavour to truly change the world by disrupting the construction industry. With 600 engineers working across 7 locations ZURU Tech towards the ultimate goal of disrupting how the world builds.

 

 

As an intern at ZURU, you'll have the opportunity to learn the foundations, frameworks and skills that drive the success of some of the world’s biggest FMCG & Toy brands, such as MONDAY Haircare, Dose & Co, 5 Surprise, and X-Shot from the best and brightest minds in the industry, including our CEO and Co-Founder, Nick Mowbray. You'll gain invaluable experience developing your business strategy, negotiation, and commercial acumen, all while working on exciting global projects that truly make an impact – it's safe to say that we’re not your typical corporate internship! At ZURU, we celebrate mistakes and encourage questions, providing a fail-fast environment that fosters growth and learning. 

 

Internships are an ideal entry point into ZURU. In your first week, you'll start with a comprehensive onboarding experience, have the opportunity to connect with other interns, leaders, and the wider team, and immerse yourself in every aspect of ZURU's high-performance culture. You'll wrap up your internship with a presentation of all you have achieved over the 12 weeks to your fellow interns and team members.

Our paid Summer Internship runs full-time from November 2023 to February 2024.  Our intake is limited, with potential opportunities arising for permanent graduate roles for exceptional interns.
