You will be responsible for building and executing go-to-market plans across ZURU’s toy brands. Your focus will be on driving sell-in and cultivating strategic relationships with Walmart to unlock growth potential. Additionally, you will disrupt the market to better meet consumer and customer needs by developing and executing customer strategic plans that challenge established players and align with ZURU's company goals across all toy categories.

You will execute omnichannel strategies with excellence, maximizing availability, visibility, and awareness of ZURU brands both in-store and online through top-tier distribution, feature placement, display, and marketing activation.

Furthermore, you will serve as a captain of culture for ZURU, ensuring that as the company grows rapidly, it maintains its entrepreneurial spirit and ability to challenge the status quo, fostering a culture where people come first and enabling collective success.

Working closely with the VP of Walmart you will focus on building strategic relationships with your merchant teams, ensuring our Platform Brands and Big Bet items are maximised every season. In doing so you will ensure ZURU is capturing or over-indexing its Share of Shelf vs competitors. You will work closely with commercial, sales ops and marketing teams to craft pitches to grow listings and drive growth. You will be able to work and deliver results while working as part of a cross-functional team across different time zones.


    • Execute omni with excellence: maximize availability, visibility and awareness of ZURU brands instore and online via best in class delivery of distribution, feature, display and marketing activation across our biggest bets.
    • Ensure the perfect pitch for line reviews, integrating deep category insights, Luminate data and proof points to maximise listings & productivity each season.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotional activities to drive brand awareness and demand.
    • Own the P&L for the merchant desk you are driving. Ensuring relentless focus on shared wins & maximising ROI for any commercial investment.
    • You will ensure ZURU is capturing or over-indexing its share of shelf vs competitors, working closely with commercial, marketing & supply teams to achieve distribution goals and maximize performance at shelf.
    • You will be able to work and deliver results while working as part of a cross-functional team across different time zones (New Zealand, China and USA)
    • Ownership of key account relationships with responsibility of building long term alignment to enable delivery of mutually aligned strategic & financial goals
    • Constantly add value by developing and improving commercial processes to improve performance and drive efficiencies.


    • 7+ years professional experience
    • Toy Industry experience preferred but not required
    • Strong commercial & business acumen, strategic thinking and problem-solving.
    • Must demonstrate leadership ability and be able to influence and motivate cross-functional teams, while holding stakeholders accountable to deliver on business objectives
    • Strong communication & influencing skills, with the ability to translate messages across a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
    • Please note: US work permit required
