Join Aprio's Advisory team and you will help clients maximize their opportunities. Aprio Advisory Group, LLC is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for a Senior Associate to join their dynamic team. 

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Consultant to join our Unclaimed Property and Escheatment Services team. This role is ideal for professionals with 2-3 years of consulting experience who are passionate about helping clients navigate complex compliance requirements and minimize risk related to unclaimed property.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and support client engagements related to unclaimed property compliance, voluntary disclosure agreements (VDAs), audit defense, and risk assessments.
    • Analyze client data to identify potential unclaimed property exposure and develop remediation strategies.
    • Assist in preparing and filing unclaimed property reports across multiple jurisdictions.
    • Communicate with state administrators and regulatory bodies on behalf of clients.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality service and solutions.
    • Mentor junior staff and contribute to their development.
    • Stay current on changes in state laws, regulations, and industry trends related to unclaimed property.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
    • 2–3 years of experience in consulting, audit, tax, or compliance—preferably with exposure to unclaimed property.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with unclaimed property reporting, audits and/or VDAs.
    • Familiarity with state reporting portals and compliance requirements.
