About the Job:
Our team behind the scenes works daily to keep each facility clean, functional, and as beautiful as the day it opened. The Facilities Custodian and Housekeeping Staff handles day-to-day cleaning, preventive maintenance, and longer-term upkeep. They collaborate with department heads at our West Sacramento production facility to ensure all cleaning and maintenance is completed, and that our vendors for preventive maintenance and emergency services are fully engaged. Reporting to the Director of Production and working closely with the Facilities Manager, this role ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone.

This position works in our West Sacramento Production Facility and would be expected to work from 5:30 AM to 1:30 PM. M - F.

You will

    • Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
    • Maintain facilities by performing tasks like paint touch-ups, changing light bulbs, cleaning glass, and general upkeep of common areas.
    • Support teams with emergency repairs and troubleshooting, while managing vendor services like pest control, waste management, and maintenance.
    • Keep teammates informed about cleaning schedules and preventive maintenance updates.
    • Sweep, mop, and clean common areas, including break rooms, offices, meeting rooms, and restrooms.
    • Manage trash, compost, and recycling, ensuring proper sorting.
    • Stock and organize janitorial supplies and maintain a clean supply closet.
    • Maintain outdoor areas, including sidewalks and building exteriors.
    • Work professionally and respectfully with all team members.
    • Collaborate with the Food Safety Team to follow food safety protocols.
    • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
    • Clean and maintain restrooms, break rooms, and common areas, ensuring they meet hygiene standards.
    • Handle waste disposal and recycling in accordance with facility policies.
    • Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify cleaning and maintenance needs.
    • Maintain outdoor areas, including trash pickup, snow removal, and landscaping as necessary.
    • Assist with minor repairs, such as changing light bulbs and fixing furniture.
    • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization.

You have

    • Experience in a commercial or industrial setting.
    • Willingness to work holidays and weekends when needed.
    • Have basic math and computer skills.
    • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
    • Certification in cleaning or facility management is a plus.
    • Have a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) desirable.
