Enveda is looking for a VP, Corporate Counsel to join our team remotely!

The contribution you will make:
We’re looking for a legal strategist who is currently thriving on the partnership track at an AM100 law firm or leading the legal efforts of a top-tier biotech company—but is motivated by the opportunity to build something extraordinary. You’re not making the move to Enveda for the sake of slowing down or changing scenery; in fact, you're excited by the kind of intensity and complexity that comes with helping to shape a high-growth, science-driven company.

You’re the kind of person who naturally leans into challenges and is energized by solving complex problems and moving ideas forward. You stay sharp by consuming a wide range of legal thought, from academic articles by leading corporate lawyers to real-time insights from practitioners navigating the same challenges in less formal spaces.

You believe most operational bottlenecks have a solution—often a smarter process, a clearer contract, or a tool that hasn’t been built yet. And you’re just the person to build it.

As a member of the Legal team, you will report to the SVP, Head of Legal.

What You’ll Do

    • Corporate Objectives:Support our leadership team (e.g., SVP, Head of Legal, CFO, SVP of Business Development, and VP of Investor Relations) in developing and executing our corporate objectives.

    • Risk Management: Support efforts in identifying and managing legal risks, including business transactions, partnerships, and regulatory matters.

    • Business Development: Support the company’s business development team to ensure that each phase of the transactions is appropriately managed from a legal perspective.
    • Compliance Oversight: Support the company in maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, including privacy, data protection, and employment law.
    • Mergers & Acquisitions: Support legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, investments, and other business ventures, including due diligence and deal structuring.
    • Leadership & Team Development: Support the legal team, providing mentorship, training, and development opportunities to foster growth within the department.
    • External Counsel: Support relationships with external legal advisors and law firms, ensuring cost-effective and efficient use of legal services.

We’re Looking For:

    • Education: J.D. (Juris Doctor) from an accredited law school.
    • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of legal experience at an AM100 law firm supporting corporate transactions in the life sciences space, or in an in-house role leading corporate transactions at a biotech company.
    • Expertise: Extensive knowledge of corporate law, contracts, compliance, and risk management.
    • Leadership: Proven experience managing and mentoring legal teams, with a strong ability to collaborate across departments.
    • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and provide sound legal counsel that aligns with business objectives.
    • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
    • Problem-Solving: Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
    • If you don't meet all of the requirements listed here, we still encourage you to apply. No job description is perfect, and we might find an even more suitable opportunity that matches your experience.
