About the role:

We’re seeking a clinician-operator to lead and scale our Clinical Quality & Programs function. The ideal candidate blends clinical expertise with systems thinking and operational rigor. You will be responsible for identifying quality gaps, designing scalable solutions, and embedding them into workflows and tools to improve the consistency, accuracy, and impact of virtual nutrition care.

Your role is to design the systems and processes that ensure clinical quality, collaborate on product enhancements that drive it, and coach and empower clinicians to consistently meet and exceed the standard. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape the quality of care at the leading virtual foodcare network in the country.

This role is approximately 60% meetings/collaboration and 40% focused, project-based work.

You Will:

    • Lead clinical quality operations: Stand up and evolve Foodsmart’s Clinical Quality Program, owning strategy, execution, and continuous improvement across documentation, audit, feedback, and compliance systems.
    • Build scalable infrastructure: Design systems and frameworks to proactively surface quality issues and deploy root-cause-driven solutions that scale with growth.
    • Drive charting and documentation excellence: Establish standards for clinical documentation quality, implement automated audit mechanisms, and lead feedback loops with individual providers and clinical leaders.
    • Operationalize quality KPIs: Define and own key quality metrics tied to clinical fidelity, documentation completeness, care appropriateness, and safety. Partner with Product and Analytics to build dashboards and reporting mechanisms.
    • Implement AI-powered quality review tools: Lead the integration of AI tools to assess visit transcripts and chart notes against defined quality rubrics, enabling scalable and objective feedback.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with Product, Clinical Operations, and Compliance to embed clinical decision support and guardrails directly into workflows.
    • Design scalable clinician support systems: Build training, peer review, and coaching programs that address quality gaps and support clinicians in consistently meeting high standards.
    • Act as a quality evangelist: Serve as a key representative of clinical quality in client conversations, audits, and regulatory or accreditation reviews.

You Have: (Required)

    • 5+ years of experience in clinical operations, quality improvement, or clinical product roles, ideally within a telehealth or digital health environment
    • Proven ability to build and lead scalable quality improvement initiatives from scratch
    • Strong operational mindset: you thrive on identifying the root cause of clinical quality challenges and putting systems in place to fix them
    • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, especially Product and Engineering, to build clinical tools and workflows
    • Ability to define, monitor, and operationalize clinical KPIs
    • Excellent communication and change management skills: able to coach clinicians, influence stakeholders, and lead initiatives across the organization

Nice to Have:

    • Active Registered Dietitian (RD) credential (preferred) or another clinician credential
    • Deep understanding of documentation best practices, NCQA/CMS standards, and virtual care compliance
