As the Advanced Engineer - Software QA - Baseband Unit (BBU), you will generate and execute test cases to ensure the expected behavior of CBRS specific features, including deployment centric scenarios. Including InterOP testing with JMA 5G and 4G XRAN Product. This position will be located out of our headquarters in Syracuse, NY.

Responsibilities

    • Work on CBRS validation with SAS as part of a either Standalone XOAS solution with mock XRANs or with full E2E system and Interoperability between them, defining verification requirements and test plans, implementing test benches and tests, executing test plans, debugging issues on complete JMA solutions. 
    • Generate comprehensive test reports for internal and external consumption. 
    • Collaborates with software/hardware R&D developers and project managers.
    • Responsible for the identifying tools support requirement for the different releases and follow-up.
    • Reproduce the issues reported in the field and work with R&D to get it resolved.

Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Communication Engineering or equivalent. Masters preferred. 
    • Having CBRS Certified Professional Installer is preferred
    • Strong Knowledge & Hands on experience of CBRS Architecture, Domain proxy & SAS
    • Skilled expertise in CBRS E2E Feature testing, 20 MHz & 10 MHz Implementation, 2CC & 3CC CBRS Carrier Aggregation, Operator preferred push, GAA & PAL Implementation, Single frequency group
    • 2+ years of experience architecting and designing test automation frameworks.
    • Good Hands on in python is expected, along with understanding and usage of Pytests Framework, Swagger usage for Rest API validation
    • Expertise in ORAN split 7.2
    • Good understanding of 5G and/or LTE Architecture and high-level understanding of different entities and roles of 5G/4G/2G System is expected
    • Familiarity with Linux command, and Git is a must
    • Familiar with Jira and Confluence
$85,000 - $95,000 a year
The US national annual base salary range for this is $85,000 - $95,000. The range includes base salary that is expected to be paid for this role. Actual base salary will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the scope and complexity of the role, the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, peer and market data and geographic location.  This role will also include a bonus plan.
