We are seeking a Regulatory Affairs & Policy Manager to lead our engagement with German regulations and market policies. This role will focus on monitoring, interpreting, and influencing regulatory developments while supporting internal teams in navigating compliance and market changes. The ideal candidate is well-versed in German energy regulation, comfortable drafting policy responses, and has strong networking skills to engage with policymakers and industry stakeholders.

What you'll do

    • Monitor, analyse, and interpret German energy regulations, ensuring alignment with industry and business needs
    • Track and engage with emerging policies, including drafting responses to regulatory consultations to advocate for favourable legislative outcomes
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, industry bodies, and policymakers to influence regulatory developments
    • Represent Kraken in external meetings, contributing to discussions on regulatory and market changes
    • Act as the internal expert on regulatory changes, supporting product teams with compliance and strategic planning
    • Provide guidance on regulatory risks and opportunities to inform business strategy in the German market

What you'll need

    • Strong understanding of German energy regulatory frameworks
    • Experience in policy analysis, regulatory affairs, or government relations
    • Skilled in drafting policy papers, consultation responses, and regulatory documentation
    • Excellent networking and relationship-building skills
    • Ability to translate regulatory developments into actionable insights for internal teams
    • Fluency in German and English
