What's the role?
The Managing Director, Artificial Intelligence Information Security is a senior leadership role responsible for spearheading the development and growth of a specialized practice area focused on providing cybersecurity solutions for clients operating in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). This position requires a dynamic and visionary leader with a deep understanding of both cybersecurity and AI technologies. The Managing Director will be tasked with building a high-performing team of experts, establishing strategic partnerships, and driving business growth through the delivery of cutting-edge consulting services. The primary objective is to address the unique security challenges posed by AI implementations while enabling clients to embrace AI technologies confidently and securely.

The Managing Director will be at the forefront of the rapidly evolving AI landscape, helping organizations navigate the intricate security challenges and embrace AI technologies securely. The role requires visionary leadership, technical expertise, and a deep commitment to delivering exceptional client value.

A day in the life could include:

    • Practice Development and Strategy:
    • Develop a comprehensive business plan to create and grow the AI-focused cybersecurity consulting practice within the firm.
    • Define the vision, mission, and core values for the practice, setting clear objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
    • Stay updated on the latest developments in AI and cybersecurity, identifying emerging trends and innovative solutions to differentiate the practice and maintain a competitive advantage.
    • Team Building and Management:
    • Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of highly skilled cybersecurity professionals with expertise in AI security.
    • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages knowledge-sharing, professional development, and individual growth.
    • Define roles and responsibilities within the team, set clear expectations, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
    • Client Engagement and Business Development:
    • Identify potential clients and industries that can benefit from the AI security consulting practice's expertise, and tailor service offerings to address specific client needs.
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients, understand their unique security challenges, and provide tailored solutions to build trust and long-term partnerships.
    • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop marketing strategies and initiatives that promote the practice's services and enhance its visibility in the market.
    • AI Security Consulting:
    • Work closely with clients to assess their AI security requirements, evaluate existing security measures, and conduct risk assessments specific to AI implementations.
    • Develop and deliver comprehensive AI security strategies, policies, and frameworks, addressing issues related to data privacy, bias, model robustness, and adversarial attacks.
    • Provide guidance on implementing secure AI practices, including secure data storage, access controls, and encryption methods.
    • Thought Leadership and Industry Involvement:
    • Represent the firm as a subject matter expert in AI security at industry conferences, seminars, and forums.
    • Publish whitepapers, research papers, and thought leadership articles on AI security topics to enhance the practice's reputation and credibility.
    • Participate actively in AI and cybersecurity communities, building networks and staying informed about the latest developments.

    • Perform other duties as assigned

Necessary skills and qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, Data Science, or a related field. An advanced degree (Master's, Ph.D.) is desirable.
    • Extensive experience (10+ years) in cybersecurity, cybersecurity consulting, and AI technologies, with a deep understanding of the unique security challenges in AI implementations.
    • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams, preferably in a consulting environment.
    • Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset, with experience in growing a consulting practice or business unit.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovative and practical solutions to complex AI security issues.
    • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or relevant AI certifications would be an advantage.
